Aangan on Top of the World
Since i work in a company adjacent to the Aangan premises it wasnt too long before i made a trip there with my colleagues to taste the food. Aangan Residency has different cuisines on offer and those who like their "drink" there is a bar as well. Am sure it gets a lot of tired bodies who want to drown their sorrows at the end of the day (for some that could be as early as 3 in the afternoon)
I visited the restaurant on the rooftop and as luck would have it the elevators could not take 3-4 beefy men from my team so we decided to trudge up the stairs. The view from the restaurant is pretty ordinary and one can see concrete jungle (some animals if we spared them) in the distance. The waiters are warm and friendly (atleast the ones we got) and without hesitation everyone went about ordering starters and beverages. The starters are sumptuous and good portions for large carnivorous groups visiting the restaurant. Some soft music in the background would be helpful rather than the tv screens which to me are a distraction in any restaurant. People dont talk much when food arrives but until then they look at the screens with their mouths wide open like they have never seen a tv screen in their lifetimes!
The main course too is value for money. Aangan's location is perfect as its nestled between IT companies and will have regular stream of customers right through the week. However, they need to watch out for the competition which is serving good food at competitive rates with a lot better ambience. Aangan could do with some renovation to their interiors.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in that part of town! |
