"Value for Money Chinese Restaurant"
RT Nagar area is an Middle income residential locality in North Bangalore near easily accessible to Cantonment station and and also relatiovely near to the new airport with Hebbal being just 2 kms away. What the area lacks however are good restaurants where you can dine out with friends and family. There is ofcourse the well known local Shantisagar but for the carnivores the options are severely limited.

Chnung Wah is a Chinese restaurant on the RT Nagar Main Road between ICICI bank and the RT Nagar Post Office. This outlet hardly advertises and being a newish resident of the locailty I stumbled upon it by chance. However one visit was enough to convince why they dont need to advertise. Once you have dined you will continue to come back and looking at the crowd while we were there most seemed to be regulars.

Finding the place is very difficult the first time round as it is not cleary signposted and is on the first floor. It is easy to miss out as the signage is not very clear. Watch out for the stairway on a building near Shantisagar and FabMall on the RT Nagar Main Road .

The restaurant is a good option if you like Chinese food which is non spicy ( as it should be). Prices are moderate, service is good and they are child friendly -important for us as we have a toddler. Selections in addition to Chinese include Thai and some Indonesian stuff also (like Nasi Goreng). We had a lamb and a fish dish and both were excellent in addition to Chicken Fried Rice. Not too many vegetarian items. Waiters are frendly and explain the various items well. Portion sizes are good and service is fairly quick but most imprtantly they never rush you. Overall great value for money and healthy as well as there is no deep frying.Unless you want to have the full works from start to finish, it is better to skip the dessert options and grab an ice-cream from one of the outlets otuside

Waiting to go there again . Be aware parking can be a problem, so better park in one of the lanes nearby and walk . Also note this is not a multi cusine restaurant but a speciality restaurant , so mix and match stuff like "Chilli Chicken with Biriyani" is not possible.
