Restaurant Description:
Chef Maharaja has all the right aces up his sleeve – with a hotel management background, the young chef knows his way around salads and soups, starters and main course. He also knows what customers look for – well cooked food, with succulent pieces of meat, a large spread to choose from and no compromise on the ingredients used to cook the dishes.

"Bangalore Brasserie – A promising chef offers a great culinary experience"
Chef Maharaja has all the right aces up his sleeve – with a hotel management background, the young chef knows his way around salads and soups, starters and main course. He also knows what customers look for – well cooked food, with succulent pieces of meat, a large spread to choose from and no compromise on the ingredients used to cook the dishes.
Sipping a soft drink, I walked around the buffet counters which boasted nearly forty odd dishes. To do justice to my role as a reviewer, I needed to taste as many dishes as humanly possible and so I walked around the display, taking a small helping of Alexander Salad (shredded ham, mushroom, celery and apple with mayonnaise dressing), Khoori Khassa (chicken cooked in onion and tomator gravy), Murch Maajadar Kabab and Gosht Dum Biriyani. I have to confess that in all the above dishes, it was the biriyani which impressed me a great deal – the lamb was no grandfather goat! It was tender lamb cook ed in flavoured basmati rice!
I went Thai for the next round and took a small helping of Thai Fish curry and fried rice.
I then went around the South Indian display and was totally enamoured with Arabi Roast (Kolacisia tossed with red chilly), Poosainakkai Pappu (Red pumpkin with dal) and Onion Garam Pakoda. I have to mention here that Arabi is a difficult vegetable to cook – if it is not cooked properly it can cause an itching sensation in the throat. But the Chef had taken all precautions, and I went back thrice to the Arabi Roast counter.
There were several desserts to choose from but the artistically displayed Pineapple Mouse, sitting inside a pineapple, looked interesting.
So, next time you drop by the restaurant, remember to say `hello' to Chef Maharaja and the Restaurant Manager – Ravi. Mr. Magesh Iyer, General Manager is an extremely courteous host and the team along with the food, make a visit to Bangalore Brasserie a great experience!
