Restaurant Description:
One of the few Korean restaurants in Chennai. The menus are easy to use with a picture of each dish. The decor is minimalist and has Korean style low tables and serves authentiic food without any compromises to attract the local population. The waiters are friendly and will help you out if you are puzzled and perplexed with the names of the menu and also teach you how to eat the Korean way. The meals start with Kimchee, starters that consists of small omelettes, spinach, sliced mushrooms, beef cooked in garlic etc. Do try the hotpot if you are adventerous and the type that explores unfamiliar flavours and to have a enjoyable interactive dining. The portions are large, and can be shared by two people. The main entrees come with all the necessary side dishes, including radish salad, fried yam, brinjal fritters, peanuts in a sweet sauce, stir fried squids, pickled cabbage and a cabbage & onion salad. "Korean food, just like in Korea!"
This place might be oblivious to a lot of people but not to true gourmets! Yes, Seoul is one helluva place that serves authentic Korean food. You would think this place has only Korean people visiting it, but you are wrong! This place is loved by Indians, Americans, Japanese, Chinese and every other ethnicity you can think of!

When you enter the place, the first thing that will strike you is how massive the place is! It will accommodate at least 150 people at one time. You have typical South East Asian furniture along with separate floor seating with low tables separated by a bamboo divider! I liked the ambiance and you need to have a certain taste to appreciate the ambiance.

Vegetarians, please think twice before visiting here because your life could becoming a living hell else as there are only two vegetarian dishes! And Non vegetarians, it’s not like any other non vegetarian place, you need to be the sort who wants to try out many things in life, and then of course, Seoul could be one of those things!

The Korean waiters are very friendly and give you a warm smile all the time! The menu has dishes names in Korean language with of course English translation.

One might wonder what the little metal whole sort of a thing is doing in the middle of every table. Well it’s an instant burner, on top of which you can place your food, so it doesn’t go cold, an interesting mechanism indeed! The portions of food are exorbitant, so be careful while ordering. The main course dishes come with brinjal fritters, peanuts in a sweet sauce, stir fried octopus, radish salad, fried yam and the typical cabbage pickle with onions!

We decided to be a little less adventurous this day and resorted to order a squid dish, a chicken dish and a beef dish (names of which are worse than a tongue twister). Like I said, humungous portions and we had a hard time finishing it and so we packed it! but the food was delicious nevertheless!

Seoul, can be that whacky place you want to go to, if you in a mood to try whacky food! I loved the experience in Seoul and I am sure you will too!

"Korean - the Korean way !"
Inseoul is a truly original Korean experience. The appetizers are a meal by themselves with the mini omelettes, the fried baby octopus (octupi), the authentic Kimchi salad and the works.

The Menu needs translation and is surely not for the faint hearted...(yes, they also have Ox tail in here), but boy, when you do select your standard veggie / meat options, the sheer presentation takes your breath away.

While the Koreans love this place for their home food, (read, the Soju flavour...traditional Korean wine in little green bottles), the family area has floor seating with heaters for the bar-b-q experience.

Try this place once. I am hooked on and maybe you will catch me there someday, grinning ear to ear Soju-soaked and octupi-bred!
