Anjappar Chettinadu Military Hotel commenced operations in Royapettah High Road, Chennai, South India in the year 1965.The word Chettinadu Hotel was coined by its founder Mr Anjappar. Thus Anjappar Hotel became the pioneer in "Chettinadu food". Mr. Anjappar, the founder of this restaurant, hailed from the famous Chettinad area.He introduced to the Hotel Industry, the exclusive taste of Chettinad varieties, which attracted taste hunters. The concept of outdoor catering too was launched then. In 1995,an ultra modern restaurant with an enchanting ambience was opened at 7/2, J.P. Towers, Nungambakkam,Chennai, South India, India providing the best food in a fully airconditioned, well decorated hall at very affordable rates. This restaurant created a niche for itself in the Chettinad segment. It attracted a lot of customers. Our specialties include exclusive items like viral fish curry, fry & Iyrai fish curry. These varieties of fish were shipped from Madurai daily by bus. In 1999, the next branch commenced operations at Annanagar a posh suburb of Chennai.This was another feather in our cap.The restaurant became so popular for the quality of food and the personalised service. On public demand the third branch was opened on 19th Jan 2002 at T.Nagar, the commercial capital of Chennai. Subsequently branches have been opened at Dubai, Mylapore and Egmore. Branches at Dr R K Salai and Mount Road are to be opened shortly. The Management is vigourously working to improve the quality and service to retain the fame and popularity among the people. "Wow, Excellent food"
This is right near to our shopping world pondy Bazzar. Perfect place. When it comes to food, it is chanceless. We went as a group of 12 and we were able to tase each and every item there. I love to Eat Liver Fry .... Kheema dosai's and idiyappams .... Wow ... South Inidan Style , A perfect one.

In fact we have one more anjappar on the mahalaxmi street , right near to T.Nagar and compared to this Pondy bazar anjappar is 100 Times better service and better food.
